剧情：赛车手在走出失败的阴影之后，重新在女友的鼓励下，决定再次挑战对手，赛车过程惊险万分，最后终于还是赢得了冠军！帅哥反败为胜的人生奇迹，这样的电影有谁不爱看呢？
幕后：堪称赛车里的《壮志凌云》，是汤姆·克鲁斯跟保罗·纽曼合拍《金钱本色》时向老前辈学会的赛车爱好。本片的故事颇为公式化，编导的工作似乎只是尽量去烘托男主角的个人偶像魅力。由于设计味道太浓，反而失去挥洒自如的吸引力。也许本片的最大成功，是造就了男女主角的幕后情缘。
