上一个JW的“大包子”（借用古典音乐盒装或套装发行的俗称），由著名的口水歌乐团——The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra演奏（少量由London Music Works演奏），收录了截止2012年止，大师80岁生辰时的经典电影乐段（少量专为音乐会或体育赛事所做音乐），共计6张CD，88首乐曲，可谓好货一网打尽（可惜的是silva screen于2012年发行这套纪念性合集，JW在2012年之后的一些同样经典的配乐未能收录，如：The Book Thief， The BFG等，不过相信大部分JW乐迷们都已有单独的原声碟了）

JW可谓有史以来无争议的、最为成功的电影音乐作曲家，曾获得40多次奥斯卡提名，多次夺冠，配乐风格则是传承了好莱坞黄金时代的交响乐风格，大气、辉煌、正统，几乎承包了大导演斯皮尔伯格所有电影的配乐。1980年被任命为波士顿通俗交响乐团第19任指挥，自1993年退休至今任该团名誉指挥。2016年，AFI（美国电影协会）授予JW终身成就奖。
