1982年经典“鬼片”的配乐，获得奥斯卡最佳配乐提名，其中的“Carol Anne’s Theme”一曲可谓耳熟能详，再次说明了大师的作品的确不同凡响。
本版为1997年母带经数码转换后的“新鲜版本”。2005年的电影重拍版则由Marc Streitenfeld（好像最近成了Ridley Scott的御用，Scott导演的《美好的一年》、《新罗宾汉》、《美国黑帮》、《谎言之躯》、《异形之普罗米修斯》等均由其配乐），不过无论是电影还是音乐均未能超越老版。
